The Ledford House Restaurant is Lisa and Tony’s second restaurant together. After spending time traveling, tasting, researching, and experimenting with recipes, they decided to open a restaurant on the Mendocino Coast. In the time since, the Ledford House has developed a reputation as a must-do experience for visitors and residents alike.
Lisa’s dinner menu is always evolving – she updates her collection of contemporary and classic dishes each month. In addition to serving as a friendly and welcoming maître-d, Tony develops the recipes for their signature breads. It is clear that the couple loves their work, a fact which is reflected in their friendly, attentive, and professional serving staff.
Favorites at the Ledford House Restaurant include a gorgeous Clam Chowder served with whole clams and fresh herbs from the restaurant’s garden, Fisherman’s Stew featuring the latest catch in a tomato, orange, fennel and saffron broth, and Potato Gnocchi with gorgonzola cream and toasted walnuts. The menu is reasonably priced for a fine dining experience, and there is always an option to order the Bistro Special, a prix fixe 3-course dinner for just $30. The Ledford House also boasts a very well-priced selection of wine, beer, and specialty cocktails. A visit just for a cocktail and sunset view at the bar would not be unwise!
The Ledford House Restaurant serves dinner Wednesday-Sunday, beginning at 5 o’clock PM. A live jazz band plays at 7pm nightly. The restaurant gladly accepts reservations, and guests can easily book a reservation on their website. It is advised you allow time to enjoy a before-or after-dinner stroll along the grounds. Though the cuisine is extravagant and the views are magnificent, feel free to come dressed casually. The restaurant and its gorgeous grounds are available for private parties and special occasions for groups of up to 95. The kitchen offers special events, the option of customized menus, cocktails, and wedding cake services.
