Noyo Harbor is a working harbor, and at the heart of it you’ll find Princess Seafood, a combination fish market and deli, owned and operated by women who fish from that very harbor. The sparkling fresh seafood is caught by an all-female crew aboard their fishing boat, appropriately named the Princess. The owners are longtime friends and fisherwomen, and Princess Seafood is the culmination of their shared passion for bringing the freshest possible seafood to the public.
The market and deli showcase seafood at its peak of perfection, whether it’s sweet oysters from nearby Humboldt Bay, served raw or barbecued, local rockfish or Dungeness crab when in season, or sashimi grade salmon. All seafood sold at Princess is wild and sustainably caught.
Choose some fish to take home, or enjoy lunch at one of the tables in the casual patio space. In the summer, there are umbrellas shading the tables, and in the winter, a tent with a heater to keep you warm and cozy as you savor rich clam chowder or grilled fish tacos. Other favorites include the Cajun inspired shrimp po’ boy sandwich, Dungeness crab roll, and the local rockfish sandwich, where the fish can be served grilled or blackened.
The friendly staff are happy to share their extensive knowledge about the seafood on offer and help you choose from the menu or the refrigerated case, whether you’re trying to decide on lunch or fish to take home. Beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, are available to complement your seafood feast. Bring your dog along – he or she is welcome to join you on the comfortable patio.
